Skilled Trades All-Star Program

Hey there,

Guess what’s about to explode?

The skilled trades industry. And you could be part of it.

The Philadelphia Phillies and NEST have teamed up. And it's for something big: The Skilled Trades All-Star Program.

Yeah, you heard right. The Phillies and NEST, the titan of integrated facilities management.

I was apart of this special day.

Their mission? Ignite the spark in young folks for a career in the skilled trades.

How? By offering hands-on experience right in the heart of Citizens Bank Park.

The curtains rise on April 24 with students from Mercy Career & Technical High School. Then comes round two on August 1, with the all-girls construction camp, MyWIC.

These future trade magicians will get down and dirty with the nitty-gritty of stadium operations. HVAC, grounds keeping, carpentry, maintenance - you name it.

Carolyn DiGiuseppe, the head honcho of Facility Services at Citizens Bank Park, says it’s not just about a day at the ballpark.

It's about igniting a lifelong interest in the trades that build and sustain our communities.

The new initiative is a direct extension of our foundation the Skilled Trades Advisory Council's mission to champion the skilled trades as viable and rewarding career choices.

Their mission? Promote skilled trades as solid, rewarding career choices.

And the Skilled Trades All-Star Program? It’s the beating heart of STAC's mission.

Rob Almond, NEST’s CEO A STAC founding meb, believes the Phillies will help shed light on these amazing career opportunities for the next generation.

And let me drop some numbers on you: Associated Builders and Contractors report says the construction industry alone needs to hire 500,000 workers in 2024 to meet labor demands (source).

So, are you ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the world of skilled trades?

Let's get to work.
